On the same note.
One thing I do not understand is the science of what makes a ball carry well. Lane 1 guys always talk about how saws carry anything left of the 6. I read all about differential, RG, Coverstock, Core, pin placement, distance, Weight blocks, MB, and all sorts of stuff that will make a ball roll early, late, weak, strong, blah blah. What about a ball makes it carry better than others (besides hitting the pocket)? If you assume the same person is throwing the same shot with two balls and hitting generally the same target, why will one ball carry more often than the other?
I've noticed (in person) the inferno seems to carry on quite a few questionable shots, as does x-factor.
I'de like to hear from some Lane 1 guys as I'm due for a new ball in a month or so and would like to make an educated purchase. My freak out doesn't carry like it use to, but then again I probably have 500 games on it.
