Best "All Purpose" Drilling

Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on a best all purpose drilling.  I know there will be responses like depends on the ball.  So well say a resin ball.  Would you say just a plain label drill.

Well after using this drilling on a new OLD ball, i would say the Axis Leverage drilling is your best bet for a safe drilling.  Because it gives you good length and a weak backend reaction.  so if your drilling up some Hooking Monster it will give you a good look at what the ball would do on a weak drilling.

Bob Hanson -- I have a YABA bowler that throws a spinner (track about 3" in dia right on the bottom of the ball), and I have not been able to get him out of this.  I set him up with a standard 4 X 4 drilling, but he doesn't get much hitting power out of it.  Do you have a drilling pattern recommendation that will perform well for this type bowler?  Thanks in advance  --  JohnP

I would have to say a label leverage drilling.  It is my favorite for typical league conditions.

Bob Hanson  --  I wasn't looking for a layout to change his track, just give him better performance as he throws it.  And I haven't given up yet on changing his release.  Actually, he throws one of the best spinners I've ever seen, if I didn't know where his track is I'd guess mid to low 3/4 roller, and he gets a lot of revs and medium break.  I'll get back to you tomorrow on the PAP location, my records are at the shop & I'm at the house.  --  JohnP

Bob -- His axis coordinates are 3 3/4 horizontal and 5/8 vertical.  I put the cg in the middle of his grip and the pin over his ring finger.  --  JohnP

Take a ball with the pin in 0-1 for the kid and set the pin up 1 1/2 inches left of the midline and about an inch above the midline.  I've seen some spinners with a layous similar to this and it is all length with a strong arcing backend.

  Put the pin on the pap and the cg straight across.
