Fitting and Drilling a Bowling Ball, By Bill Taylor

I'm getting pretty serious about learning to drill my own equipment, and I have learned alot from the members on this site, but I would also like a real guide/manual in print to go by as well. Does anyone have any experience with this book and is it good enough to learn from? I don't want to spend an outragious amount to go to a school to learn. I think the $78 the book costs vs. roughly $500 for the classes would be just as effective if I experamented on a few old house balls the alley will give me for free. I'm only going to be drilling for me really, and maybe family.
Thanks,

Bill Taylor's book is classic and set the guidelines for fitting. However, it doesn't tell you anything about how to actually drill the holes in a ball. And it was written long before dynamic cores were first used, so it tells you nothing about modern layout techniques. I recommend the Powerhouse classes. -- JohnP
