Drilling diagrams...
« on: April 12, 2004, 08:09:21 PM »
Does anyone know where I can find a site that has pictures of various drilling patterns. I'm trying to learn a little more about how they look and what they do. By pictures, I mean either drawn diagrams or actual pictures of it being done. Thanks.

When you've moved up, moved back, adjusted left and right, cupped, flattened out, have thrown everyting in your arsenal, and the pins still don't cooperate, just say, "Aw to HELL with it!", and throw the ball!

In addition to Rollrite, all of the Ball Manufactures web sites have diagrams for their own balls plus the length and hook strengths of each layout.

Try the Rotogrip website.  It shows each pin position with a description of how shifting the MB changes the overall reaction.  It has very simple and well organized information.

chun914 -- Locate the spot on the ball that is 4 inches from both the pin and the cg (or mass bias).  This will be the PAP for your layout.  Then use your PAP horizontal and vertical dimensions to back into the grip center.  --  JohnP
