Mo-Rich Layouts
« on: October 30, 2004, 01:27:12 AM »
Hey everyone.  From my experience, morich balls have been very sensitive to layouts.  Some people absolutely love them and others seem to hate them.  Although this may be personal preference, I think a large part of this is matching up a layout to the individual bowler.  In browsing through the suggested drill specs on their site, I noticed that in all cases (at least all which I saw), the least aggressive layout was a stacked layout with the MB placed below the pin, just right of the thumb (which was said to produce late revs).  Is there a specific reason as to why there are no layouts with the MB further away from the PAP?  For instance a label leverage with the mb in the track, possibly to get even more length?  Do these types of layouts not work well with the newer MoRich equipment?  All I have seen in my area (and drilled for people) have been 45° and 75° layouts.  I now have a customer who wants more length and backend from the layout....
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
S^2

LIke all mass bias balls the higher the mass bias factor.

I think on the Mayhem, TA, and Ravage near .19 the more dramatice the change in reaction for different drillings.

We have a long shot around here that is thin volumes of oil.   The guy who throws Morich and is a former tourist has picked up on the grabbiness of the midlanes and is drilling his lefty balls (where the midlane is really grabby) with the pin over the ring and the MB out directly on track.  PErfect he is tearing em up this year with a highly polished TA(within 20 pins of the high righty) which is great in our lefty tough area!

For the righties who play more inside and CAN carry (left will not carry inside) and have a less grabby pattern in midlanes he is drilling Ravages and TAs with the mass bias in the strong position.  That's killin em too!
