Short, you have to slow down the response to friction. Burn, if you can left of it, you need a faster response to friction, but not so much that it's unreadable. One of the best balls I've ever had for burn (and being able to get left of it) was my AMF Fire Hawk. 5.75*70. Lots of push, enough cover to not be squirty, and the core tipped enough to make the turn.
