I recently purchased an Storm LRG 15# with a 1" pin out from cg with 1.5 oz of top weight. I am left handed tweener, ball speed 17- 17.5 mph, high 3/4 track, my pap is 5 1/4 & 13/16 up. Any suggestions on how to lay this ball out? I looking for the best ball reaction with what I have to work with. All suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

Also, I understand with the parameters of this ball and core, that it's not going to be a hook monster. I am looking for a layout that will give me a good smooth arc to the pocket with some hitting power. My biggest concern is the ball hitting like a marshmellow......
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The LRG wants to roll early and the short pin won't help. I'd look for a 1:30 drilling (to aid in axis retention), putting the pin where you want it for length. Something like a 4.5 x 5.5.

Strider,
Would you possibly be refering to the 11:30 postition considering that I am left handed? Or am I mistaken?

I didn't read your original post very well. 4.5 x 5.5 still applies since the numbers are based on your PAP. It would be something like pin over, a little left of your ring finger, cg below and right, towards the center of your grip. I guess a 1:30 for a righty is a 10:30 for a lefty.
With a short pin, I don't know if you can get away with the pin much over your fingers (static weight issues). You might need a little weaker drilling (5 x 5.5 or 5 x 6) to get the pin below your finger bridge so you don't need a big weight hole, even with a low top weight. Some of our more knowledgeable drillers may be able to help you better.

Strider,
Thought I would give you a follow up on this thread. I shared the knowledge of what you said, and with my .02 cents put my head together with my ball driller. We came up with the pin underneath my ring finger 5 in. out from PAP, the C.G. 5.5 from PAP.......
The ball amazingly stills hs 4 inches off flare, reads the mid-lane well, and as soon as it reads the back in dry's, it stands up to the pocket with a
smooth arc. The only thing that I find with this ball negative is that
if you come to far behind the ball, without some side axis rotation, the ball will leave weak corners. Great combination though if you want a ball that won't get you in alot of trouble in a grind out condition!
Again Strider, thank you for your contribution.
