Title: layouts...any help?
Post by: Matt Fortney on February 04, 2006, 07:32:48 AM
getting 3 new ones within the next week or so, need some help laying them out..getting the Radar, Supreme Justice Pearl, and Titan SE.

my info is in my profile, also, i have a Maximum Velocity drilled 4X3 pin above finger line, mb strong. really like the reaction. here's what i'm thinking, any help appreciated. also, getting a TNT that's about 4X4 stacked pin even w/ ring.

Radar-pin under bridge-about 5 1/2" to PAP, cg swung out a touch to 4-4 1/2"
SJP-Pin above bridge, 5X4, to play on the ball's skid-flippy tendency.
Titan SE-pin above ring, cg out maybe 1/2", about 5X4 1/2".

let me know what you think. i want to be able to cover a variety of conditions from medium to heavy mediums...lmk.

maybe i'd get a little more info if i explain what i want these things to do-here goes nothin-

Radar-Med oil-want it to start a little late and have a fairly angular backend, would like to use it on a little carry down. hence the pin under drill.-wondering if a stacked 4x4 layout would work better for what i want it to do.

SJP-Med oil-want this ball to be the most angular of them all. good length, very angular backend on med-light side of med. thinking now about moving the pin from the bridge to above the ring, just so there's a little more flare.

SE-Med/Light-want this ball to start up a little earlier than the radar, and have a strong, but more even arcing backend. would really like to play this on like a second shift shot.

lmk what ya'll think!

I recommend you find a competant ball driller in your area. Show him(or her)  your arsenal, have him (or her) watch you bowl, tell him(or her) what you want from each ball, and have him (or her) offer suggestions.
