Leong / Hall layout help
« on: June 04, 2008, 04:54:57 AM »
I'm having a major brainfart right now and can't remember the specifics of this layout.  Worse yet, I can't find the notes.  Rick is not likely to appear and answer this, but does anybody have the specifics handy on the Leong/Hall layout?

Direct from the PC of the "Master":

"The Leong-Hall layout is placing the pin one inch from pap and place the
mass bias on center line (regardless of position relative to the thumb).
Also make sure to place the pin only 1 inch above midline. Remember my
ball bearing analogy, basically we're taking the mb (one controlling
weight) and stabilizing it on the y axis and then taking the pin (the
other controlling weight) and place it slightly above the x axis. We
want to create some type of "imbalance" but it is a very minimal amount
hence the smoothness and control reaction we get from this layout."

1" or 1.5" is not going to make a lot of difference. Given human beings. a pin positioning of 1/2" is within reason.
