Longer Pin-cg with pin under drilling
« on: January 16, 2014, 03:34:32 PM »
Hello all!  A friend of mine is selling a new ball as he's switching to 14 lbs and I had a question about it.  The ball in question is a Marvel-S and the specs are 15.3 3.5" pin with 3.3 oz of top weight. The layout i was looking to use is 4 3/4 x 65 x 65 with a low hole down my VAL.  I have that layout on my Marvel solid and I love that ball but the pin-cg distance is shorter on it.  My span is only 4 1/16" cut to cut and my pap is 5 1/4 over 1/4 up.  If its not a good idea I can drill it with the pin higher.  Any advice?

Go ahead and lay it out that way, and adjust the cg to get the weight hole you desire. The first angle doesn't matter on symmetricals. Just move the cg to get the Xhole placement you want,
