Which of the two is the better one, Jonell or Master? I've used the Master gauges before and I personally think they are flimsy, but I don't have a clue about the Jonell set.

We have both at the shop and I prefer the Jonell set.

That's what I was hoping to hear. The extra cost is worth it for accuracy.

How about the Jonell span gauge?

The Jonell span gauge has to be superior to those plastic ones.

I was also thinking of picking up the Jayhawk Axis Reversing Tool and the Jayhawk Ball Compass.

Has anybody used the Precision Grip Gauge?

I like the Jonell span gauge, but if you go that route make sure to get the one with the longer extension on it.

I find this gauge allows you to effectively find the correct span regardless of bevel/ pitch, where the old styles don't. Just remember that if someone has a lot of bevel, even this gauge can give you a hard time finding the correct measurement. I know that if I try to span out my own equipment it can be tricky off of a drilled ball.
