Layout analysis please
« on: February 26, 2006, 11:49:24 AM »
This is my brother's Strike Zone. He's right handed. I throw a similar release from the left (otherwise known as the correct) side.

What should the layout do and what release type should it favor?

Thanks

Deadbait, thanks. You're right on the money with release style.

Followup questions for someone please....

1. Would this layout provide a strong arc or flip reaction for a spinner
2. Would it matter whether the ball was symetric or asym?
3. If a spinner release is applied to a more conventional layout, would the ball be totally ineffective or just not optimal and kinda flat?

Thanks again.

I have NEVER seen a flip reaction for low track players...(unles he can outrev Robert Smith)

2. Would it matter whether the ball was symetric or asym?

The more Z axis(mass bias differential) the better for lower track players... Just drilled a Total Anihillation for a low track player and i must say that this was the best ball he has used

3. If a spinner release is applied to a more conventional layout, would the ball be totally ineffective or just not optimal and kinda flat?

I don't know

Hey Cranker, is it safe to assume that "Z axis" and mass bias differential equate to the normal rating of "differential" that some manufacturers use? I've seen one company, Ebonite I think, actually use the term "mass bias differential" instead of just differential, and the scale was different, but I assume we're talking the same thing?
