Ric, I understood what you are saying, but if you stand back and read that, it may not have come out clearly. ??
BW, Draw a line from the PAP through the pin to your track. Where this line meets the track is where the bow tie will be when the ball flares. Sooo, keeping the pin up as high as possible will get the bow tie up higher and hopefully make the track flare around the fingers and not on to them.
In your case the pin will probably need to be slightly below your fingers or higher. The reduced flare will probably just keep the track from flaring away from the fingers as fast. Your initial track is where you throw it no matter what. Should still flare away from the fingers though.
