Layout Advice

Ok well i'm right handed and i'd say i'm about a tweener. Lately the ball i have been getting drilled have been fairly week like pin above or below the middle finger. They been drilling them this way because they say its better for me because i'm rev dominant. however it seem to me that my miss room to the right is slight to non existent. I used to get balls drilled with pins above the fingers and in between the two finger holes or below and under ring finger. The layouts gave me two 300's and a load of 700 series. A lady got a ball drilled last night and it was drilled with pin under the ring finger. I threw it and was like OMG!! look at that recovery and drive!! i had that miss room again.
I was wondering should i change my drilling's back to this or lister to my pro shop operator?

It would be helpful to know the pin to PAP distances.  But you know you're not going to be satisfied until you try the shorter pin to PAP distances.  So go ahead, and don't let your driller talk you out of it.  --  JohnP

If your rev dominant, that layout would create more of a over/under reaction.

How so?  I might be slightly rev dominant and try to stay away from over/under layouts, so fill me in please.

That weak of a layout would make the ball skid too much and the ball would not read the lane very well comming off the pattern. Then if you throw the ball more sideways to get it into dry quicker,(assuming you tip the ball enough to get it around the corner) then the ball over reacts and gets a hook stop kinda of reaction.

Ah I see.  From my understanding, that's not a bad drilling to have(depending on how far it is from the PAP) on strong balls.  That's a good way of controlling them.

Yeah the ball get down the lane great but like you said it doesn't seem like it ever's read the patten and face up properly unless i square up.
