Hi, I have a Rockwell Model 15 press. What is the idea drill speed for drilling bowling balls? Right now it is 470 RPM and it appears to be too slow. Thanks

That is about right.Keep it slow, fast is not good on bowling balls.Generates too much heat!

I keep mine at 470, works like a champ. My next speed is 780 and that's to fast. IMO.
I have a Delta

I got a rigid press(standup),started at 610rpms after a few tries settled at 390rpms .Works real well at that speed.610 made the ball wobble alittle,390 is real smooth
