I went back and looked at all the pieces I tend to use going up the boards, and two of my balls are pin below fingers. The other one I sometime use is pin right of ring finger, with cg kicked even further right.

Since a label drilling tends to give a soft arc, that would definitely be out of the question. A stacked drilling might be useful, depending on your speed and whether you are rev-dominant.

Depending on lane conditions and release characteristics one of the new urethane balls could be great for up the boards.  I frequently use my Slate Blue straight up 10 until the lanes break down enough that I have to move further inside.  When I have to make that move the ball pings 10 pins until I switch to resin.  --  JohnP
