I received a TPC Player recently with a TW of 4.25 oz. Pin out is very close to 2".  I was wanting to try the #4 layout off of the drilling sheet that came with the ball, as seen here- http://www.ebonite.com/techcenter/drilling_instructions.php?title=PSA

How much trouble is 4.25 oz. of TW going to be with this layout?

I have another Player laid out 4.5"x4" with the pin 3" above my midline.  The PSA just right of my thumb.  I'm looking for something that's going to open up the lanes more.

I would have to lay it out, but by putting the MB out towards your PAP it's gonna need a good sized weight hole.  Having the pin only 2" does help though.

Lay it out and have it weighed prior to drilling to see what the static weights are and if you driller thinks they can get the weight out.

Ofcourse if you don't want a good sized weight hole...you might want to consider another drilling.

Did that, I don't remember anything but the positive side weight.  That was around 2.5 oz.

I think i'm going to have to go deep in the ring finger to minimize the size of an additional hole.

It will depend on how long your span is.  The longer your span is the more finger wt you will have.  You should simply lay the ball out and see what you have, finger wt will be more a problem then positive I would think.  Just drilling the fingers deep should let you get away with that layout.

Thanks guys, I think I'll be alright.  I'll punch the fingers 2" deep and toss a 1"x3" hole on the PSA.  Everything should come out okay, even with my 4" span.
