I have a NIB Beast w/ Mica(1-2 inch pin, 2 3/4 oz topweight) and a Green Solid Messenger(3-4 inch pin, 3 1/4 oz topweight). I want to squeeze these into my tournament aresenal(and to use on my THS leagues) but I want them to compliment each other. The balls both have the same RG values, but the Messenger has twice as much Differential(.023 in the beast, .047 in the Messenger) and they both have the Superflex coverstock and core shape, but the messenger has the bottom flipblock.
Here's my stats:
Right handed Power-Stroker
16.5-17mph, 300-320 rpms
PAP 4 11/16ths over, 1/8th up(I do get around the ball)
I want these balls to compliment each other so I can start out with Messenger on the THS or to read the pattern with, but I still want to be able to draw some good angle out of it on the backend. Then use the Beast as a step-down when the angle on the Messenger gets too strong, or when I want some control over the breakpoint.
My main question is, since the diff in the Messenger is twice as much(so I'll generate twice as much flare), should I drill them both the same since the beast won't flare much at all? I was thinking of going with a pin over the ring, C.G stacked under on the messenger, then going with a pin under the ring, c.g stacked on the beast. Or should I just use a drilling that's going to promote flip in the Messenger, and a drill that's going to scribe a control arc in the beast(like pin under ring, C.G under the middle finger)?
Any help would be appreciated
