Need Dual Angle Help
« on: February 24, 2013, 10:35:59 AM »
Hi Guys,

I been reading alot on this site about dual angles drilling and so on, and i am really interested to know my personal numbers.

Bowler:
PAP 5 5/8 by 1/2 Up
More behind the ball release
Speed 17-18 mph
Rev Rate approx. 450-500
High Track right next to thumb and finger holes.

I am looking for help to determine what would be my best total angle.. and what would the Pin to PAP length difference make.. most of my balls are now 5" from Pin to PAP right now.

I am having some success with a Storm 5 x 4 x 3 Drilling on my Frantic now, which after checking the layout with my driller is a 50 x 5 x 55.

Any help would be much appreciated, so that i can understand the Dual Angle Systems and help my game improve.

+1 with JMAC. Check the wiki to determine the numbers and pin placement that best suit you, then.... experiment. Drilling and ball reaction are going to be based on you and the lanes. In one house, a 90* drill sum works, in another, 110* will work.
Without doing homework, you could map out the angles on the equipment you have the most success with and go from there.
