LH: 20-21mph at the hand, 400rpm. 200+ avg, low track.

I currently roll on a low volume house shot for league.  I start out with my misfit drilled pin about 2" above my middle finger (dont have full layout specs on hand)

As the night goes on the misfit has a tendency to get too angular and starts leaving 8's.

My goal is to drill up this pearl to have just as much length, but a tamer back-end.  A tad more arch so it can be a go-to without having to adjust.

My question is.  Do I do the same layout as my misfit but add and x hole, move the pin closer to my pap, or bring the pin closer to the cg?

The Pearl Misfit hooks a lot on the back end and is one of the more angular balls from DV8. I'd do a shorter pin to PAP and add surface to get the ball to burn off some energy. Drilling it the same will give you more angularity which is what you say you don't want.
