I picked up a Ratchet yesterday after reading good stuff about it. I had it drilled pin over the ring finger, CG kicked a little out. I have this exact same layout on my Storm Gravity Shift also, which I love. I expected the Ratchet to be more aggressive, but it goes really long and a mild back end for me. I took the polish off and brought it back down to 4000, but still not a huge difference. My gravity shift gets into a roll much sooner with a better back end. Much better.

What should I do? Sand it down more? I was expecting a much more aggressive ball. The ball is going quite long with not much backend. It doesn't seem to pick up roll in the midlane.

I agree with JohnP in sanding it down more.  What you may want to try is rather than a true 4000 grit, sand it down to 500 first, then lightly hit it with 2000.  That should make the ball pick up earlier since it will have extra surface. 

If that doesn't work, it is possible that you may need to add an x-hole to add flare.
