Yeah, surface is touchy on this ball. My local pro (Brunswick staffer) had to experiment a lot until he got it right - he drills the RI a bit stronger than needed, because the ball is OOB quite squirty. Sometimes an added x-hole under PAP to increase flare also did a good job. Ball has good innate length, but can be a total breakpoint mess.
Another thing to try when the ball does not "behave" well is to knock off the polish - a friend of mine who suffered with the ball in the beginning and took it to 4.000 Abralon (plus flare x-hole), and only since then the ball has become a steady performer on medium to medium-dry shots.
Not a bad ball, just stay alert to make adjustments once you have it punched up, there is a lot to fine-tune with this ball and to reveal its potential.
