I have had 2 balls drilled with the cg in the negative quad.
a 135 deg and a 105 deg. neither had weight holes. we drilled the fingers deeper to remove some wt. I also had low tops around 2 oz. so the were about 15/16 oz or so. but under 1oz.
the reactions were very different with them. 135 deg on a blade pearl(polished) pin above ring. the ball went longggggggggggggggggggg. then turned big time. Hook set reaction on real dry. would slide all the way on oil. good for dry lanes.
the 105 was on a turbo diesel 1" pin. pin under bridge cg just negative.
it is a very strong sweet rolling ball. probably because the short pin, but the ball stands up quickly and it is a great control ball. smooth arc all the way. definitely a good drilling for a pin in ball.
reads ther lanes early so carrydown was never and issue with it.
