I got to try out a new addition to the KMT Personal Ball Jig that solves a huge problem that I had. If you use thumb slugs, like I do, you know that you have to mill off the top of the slug, and that is something that the KMT jig just couldn't handle. That really put a damper on using it, because I had to go put the ball in my regular jig and press, or use the router to mill it down, and then put it back in the KMT. Well, not any more!
Steve just came out with a 0 degree plate that allows you to take the slug down flush with the ball surface before you punch the thumb hole into the slug.
Here's a link to the video, since I can't get the page to display it correctly in the frame:
BTW, I'm not an employee, salesman, or paid spokesman for KMT, just in case you were wondering.
