I have the Ball Compass and it’s very easy to use and it works great! On one side you have inches and the other degrees. The middle piece has a metal pin on the bottom of the middle section and moves back and fourth. There is also an indicator on both sides of the middle section showing the 16th of an inch or degree desired.
Say you want to layout something 5x4 you simply move the middle section to 5†and place a grease pencil in the other end. The pencil arcs 5†then move the middle part to 4†from the cg. Bam, you have 5x4! Where the two lines intersect is the PAP.
It’s easy!
Jayhawk only sells them, I think they are $89 plus shipping, but its worth it!
