Alright guys and gals,
I'm back for some advice. My friend Matt just pick up a new (re-released) The One. He has very little hand and average speed. He's like Walter Ray but really hasn't figured out his game yet. His PAP is 6 over and 1 up. He has a Jolt Solid that was drilled 3-3/8 stacked. With his end over end release the ball seems to hook/set or roll out very early. I told him he'd have to learn to change his release/axis tilt to get more backend reaction that he really wants.
But for now, I'd like some suggestions on how to lay this ball out for him. If I remember correctly the ball specs are 15.4lbs 3.4 top and 3"pin. I want to keep the pin over the fingers for the obvious reasons of his high track. I am just curious what I should choose. I was thinking higher angle sums to help the ball down the lane, but I am worried about the pin landing under his fingers. As well as the ball just skating on him. I would usually say maybe a 5" pin to pap, but not with how much flare an asymmetric has at 5". In other words . . . I'm just a little indecisive.
Thanks guys,
I think I need to not try so hard to be perfect with this. I know I'm gonna miss a layout once in a while, but he's such a good friend, I want to make sure I consider everything before deciding on a layout
