Opinions for best deep inside line drillings
« on: December 26, 2006, 11:17:31 AM »
I'm wanting to drill a ball for 4th arrow or deeper. I'm not concerned about the actual oil pattern or volume, just your THS with a little heavier oil in the center with decent backends. I'm thinking about a 5 x 3 1/2 with pin above finger line. Any suggestions & justifications appreciated.

As an example of what Jabs is saying, I have an angular laid out to diagram #1 on the drill sheet which for me is a bout 5.5 and 45*. I bowl in only one house and sometimes I have a shot from between 20 and 25 out to about 7 with a very good recovery. When that line goes away or the carry begins to fail I just move averything right, change my release and throw the 10 or 12 board straight up the track. Same ball. There are way too many variables to just pick out a layout and say "use this".
