Bridge size
« on: December 26, 2006, 11:31:08 AM »
What effect does the size of the bridge have on your release if any?  The last 3 balls I have had drilled have had bridges of 1/4" (the "norm, right?), approx 1/8" bigger and approx 1/8" smaller; it all depends on who in the pro shop drilled the ball.  What effect will these differences have, if any?  Thanks.

I doubt they will have any effect. If they do, maybe you get a liittle more side rotation on the ball with the wider bridge.

You take a higher risk of the bridge cracking with the smaller bridge.
