Title: Over Rolled Full Roller
Post by: Rocket_Robin on January 04, 2005, 12:30:02 AM
I need some advice on where to lay the ball out for an over rolled full roller. I am right handed average speed, average revs   My track is to the right of the fingers when looking at the ball,(looks like a left handers drill.  Pin above and to the left of the fingers, cg is in the palm) but I struggle to shape the ball in the oil. Is there any way to drill a ball to use on the heavier conditions.  I generally play down 10 and am carrying a 205 average. I mostly play on THS but when we do travel i struggle.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently throwing a Big Blue Pearl and the Oracle. The Oracle gets about 6" of flare and hits like a truck.

rotonut -- Describe your INITIAL track more fully (initial track and PAP are best identified by finding them on a non-flaring ball).  Specifically, where is the track in relation to your thumb hole, and what are the PAP coordinates?  --  JohnP

jOHN P.  The initial track starts just to the right side of my right finger hole and flares away from the fingers.  It doesnt get anywhere near the thumb.(about 4-5" to the )right. The flare crosses over about 1+1/2" above the centre of the fingers.  hope this is of any use, still trying to learn the technicalities of ball lay outs.

rotonut -- Sorry, I can't help you with that one.  But I'm sure if you follow kotm's advice you won't go wrong.  --  JohnP
