Title: pap ?

my ball driller says i have a 4 and 1/2 inch pap, now i see that a lot of people are like a number over and like and inch up or wut not, how do get the pap distance upwards or downwards...like is that good or bad, and having a 4 and 1/2 pap, wut does that really mean in ball characteristics?
