I have a very High track sometimes if im not throwing the ball right i have the ball go over the finger grips. I am a righty and i was wondering wut would be a drilling for alot of back end would i put the pin closer or farther away to my PAP and i dont want any weight holes.

In general, a pin above the finger line will cause more length and more backend. I track high and have little tilt. I am going to try a new drill for me soon. My favorite drill is pin under ring, cg in palm, mass bias left of thumb. I am going to try pin above ring, cg in palm, mass bias left of thumb. Both with factory surfaces, pin above ring should go 3-4 feet further and turn better. I will report back when I get everything done, which probably will not be until right around the time the season starts.

Thanks because actually my fav drilling is label leverage i hate stacked leverage bebcause it take to long for it too flip and always misses the break point for me.

first, try to find a pro shop operator who has been ibpsia certified. these guys really know how to drill bowling balls. if you have a high track( like me )a simple solution keeps me from tracking over the finger and/or thumbhole. have your pro shop operator find your pap on the ball and then find the bowtie on your track flare. use a grease pencil and draw a straight line from one to the other. if you place the pin on this line or above it you should have no problem.
a pin placement above the fingers is a skid-flip type drilling pattern---this can be hard to control if you're not used to it. i'm not a power player so i usually place the pin right next to my ring finger and swing the cg towards my grip center. a balance hole isn't needed and there's plenty of backend reaction.

Clint....you say your favorite drill is pin under ring finger?
As a "high tracker" do you have any problems rolling over the holes?
I seem to have more problems tracking "over" with low flare balls.
Do you think this is a factor?

My fav layout is label leverage pin right next to ring and Cg in my grip well i have 3 balls with this layout and i want something different. I just got an X-factor Deuce from NCDale great transaction and it is in box condition with a 3-4 in pin.

I put the pin just barely under the ring. I do not use grips, so I save some room there. I track (usually) within 1/4 of an inch from fingers and thumb with the pin in that position. You do need to find your PAP, and have someone who knows your game and equipment to help you get exactly what you want.

He should be able to advise you properly! Most of the time it is much easier to describe and explain layouts, etc, when you are in person and you can actually show someone what you are talking about.

I myself track very high (pap= 6"R by 7/8"up)
LEverage positions are best for me. I didn't really like the way the pin over the bridge layout felt.
Like Greg said, you must make sure the pin is on or above that line.
The also use the line from your pap to the ring finger.
Stacked leverage on a pearl has worked good for me. Also Flip leverage
is a good layout. If I remember it correctly you a ball with about a 4" pin.
Your weight hole is going to depend on your starting top weight, and where you place the cg.

I have 1 layout i think its stacked leverage and i hate it on my particle but not my reactive pearl ball
-----*
---O-0

----O
mb is in the thumb
that is a good layout on a pearl not particle for me but the one i ahve the most sucess with is label leverage
----0-0-*
-----&
-----O
that is a really good layout i love it
But the best ball for me that is my most versitle is a blem ball that i have a trauma Er with a 7in pin
------0-0
-------cg----------*
-------&
-------o
This layout gives me the best reaction for my style but i have only one ball that is like it and i would want to reproduce the reaction of it but without having a wheight hole or having a long pin.

That first layout with the * over the fingers, If that is the one you don't like, I can see why. It is not stacked leverage. It might be stacked, but it is not leverage not if you are a high tracker. I am guessing your pap is at least 5" to the right and then maybe some up.
For stacked leverage, imagine the layout that you gave us for label leverage, and put the cg right under the pin or maybe a little to the right.
The pin and cg should both be 3-3/8 from your pap for stacked leverage.

I track high, and a drill like that is SUPER long and SUPER flippy, not leverage by any means. (PAP is 5 over, 1/4 up last time I checked, but not much if anything has changed since then)

Yeah,
From rerading his earlier post and looking at his diagram that he gave for stacked leverage, that's his problem. I think the ball might be a 5+ by 5+ stacked and that is why the ball is going to long for him.
He said he liked his label leverage, but wanted something a little more flippy.
Stacked leverage would have been what he wanted, so I was puzzeld when he said stacked leverage went to long.
