0-1" pin
« on: August 03, 2006, 10:57:03 AM »
How would you drill a ball like this?
I just got a Rule Delta 1 with a 0-1" pin.
I throw about 16 mph and my pap is 4" over
and 3/4" down.  Thanks, Ryan

It is more of a general question. The pin an
MB are about 1/2" apart. Probably a hard arc
reaction.  I have a Smokin for the skid snap.
Thanks, Ryan

You will get a smooth recation out of the ball, anyway. I'd keep the pin under the fingers, since an earlier reaction will complement the low pin distance well. You can still put the pin quite close to your PAP, but you will need a weight hole to get it back to legal static weights.

I have a pin-in Trauma which is drilled 4x4, polished, with the pin under my ring finger, and it is a smooth hooking beast. It has great back end, and I like the fact that it is not as jumpy as a long pin ball with a stacked drilling. Highly recommendable for medium conditions.

Thanks for all the help. I got it drilled
with the pin in the middle of my span and
1/2 inch kicked out. The MB is stacked under
just right and below my thumb. It also has
a small weight hole with a little negatative
side weight.
Thanks, Ryan

mo pinel recommends placing the pin 3-3/8" from PAP (on a line between PAP and ring finger) with the cg pointed in a 45 degree down and right to get the strongest reaction.  If the finger weight is too much, just double drill the finger as deep as possible.
