Pin Above Or Below Ring Finger?
« on: February 15, 2005, 12:34:20 PM »
People put the Pin above RF or above Bridge for more length and Below RF or Bridge for earlier reving in mid lanes.

My question here is......The difference of above and below is approximately 2". Does this really make a big difference? .....And how much difference 1'-2'-3'-etc.?

Well...truthfully 1, 2, or 3 inches makes a LOTTTT of difference. TRUST ME! You could throw the exact same ball drilled pin over ring, and one pin under ring, and it would be totally different. Like bobmatt said, its changes a lot.

I throw the ball slower and rev it up quite a bit and I must say above the ring finger is better for me because it gets more length and is more controlable than below the finger.

It makes a world of difference, because these two alter the RG!

A pin under LOWERS the RG!

A pin over RAISES the RG!

Think about how much difference you see in a ball 5" pin, 3" pin, axis pin.
--These are only 2-3" different in placement, but the reaction is RADICALLY different.

This is especially true with a high differential core.

If you had a 3" pin, you can drill one above the fingers and one below the fingers.

How does placing the pin over the fingers raise the RG or placing it below lower the RG..?

What does a pin over the fingers or below the fingers have to do with the pin being farther from your PAP..? =:^D
