Pin Axis Drilling?
« on: February 12, 2005, 08:46:48 AM »
Does anyone know what this layout is suppose to look like?
My assumption is CG below fingers near/above center of grip and
pin in the PAP? I have a Pro-Pin Toxic Storm drilled this way
but didn't ask my ball driller what it was at the time of drilling.
Didn't get a chance to ask him earlier this week when he drilled my
Storm Vertigo and he'll be gone for two weeks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pin axis is when the pin is put on your PAP.

i think thats a very good drill for very high rev players. It would be really really smooth, correct?

The reaction is very, very smooth until it encounters dry and then it really starts to rev-up. It rev's unlike any other ball I own/different look all together as far as motion down the lane.  People who see it rev always ask what I'm throwing.

The pin axis layout should look something like this. The pin may be up or down a bit more, depending on your axis measurements. The CG may be out a bit more for shorter pin balls. In this case, an extra hole will be needed to make the ball legal.
