I need to layout a ball with one of these two layouts to combat the typically dry lanes in my house. I still expect to be playing inside of third arrow even after drilling the ball in question (either a Slay'R, Teal Rhino, or Power Groove), so which layout would save more energy and have a more violent backend?
Carry is very touchy in this house and I typically do well when I can have my ball around 5-7 at the breakpoint, as anything inside of that tends to ring corners all night long. I guess what I need is a layout and ball that I can swing from inside and still get to push to the outside (without checking up in the midlane) in order to get the carry I need.
I was leaning towards plugging and re-drilling the Slay'R because it's weaker cover should give me the push down the lane I need. The layout I have on it now (pin beside middle finger, cg in palm) is okay for dryer lanes, but the amount of negative side weight makes the ball want to do nothing but roll as soon as it hits the lane. Consequently I end up leaving a lot of corner pins because it either bleeds it's energy off before it gets to the pins, or it doesn't have an aggressive enough breakpoint to snap the 10 pin out. Also, I only have about 30 games on this ball and I really want to put it to good use instead of letting it collect dust.
My info is in my profile, any thoughts and advice is very much appreciated.
