Pin below the midline?
« on: May 10, 2004, 05:10:26 AM »
what it the purpose of placing the the pin below the midline in the thumb quadrant. I understand why for the Fullrollers but why for bowlers with PAP of 3 5/8-5" over I know it does not hit the ring finger. what type of reaction is this suppose give you?

Do you mean something like rev leverage?

I know the full rollers put the pin in the positive thumb quadrant, and cg in palm for their leverage drill.

But for a normal tracker with the PAP's that you gave, usually people put it that low so the ball will rev rather early.

My answer seems to logical. Im sure im misunderstanding something you asked.

I am talking in terms of this

   O   O

     +       pap

     p

    O

       cg

I seen a few layouts like this in the past couple of weeks. I just seem like this layout just rolls early. I guess that the core is extremlly shorten due to the 3" deep thumb hole. I think this is a dead roll layout.
