Pin distance from PAP
« on: February 22, 2005, 01:10:35 AM »

What reaction changes will occur with a change in distance of the pin from the pap assuming that all pins are located below and right of the ring finger?  I have one ball with the pin about 2" from the pap and below and to the right of the ring finger.  This particular ball hooks more than anything I own and gets fairly good length on medium patterns.

I have slower speed and average revs if that helps any.

Thanks for the help.

thedjs -- 2" pin to PAP ON A GIVEN BALL will tend to break earlier and be more "arcy" than longer pin to PAP's.  But ball selection (coverstock and core) and surface preparation both have much more influence than the layout does.  --  JohnP
