Anyone have any luck with Pin Down Symm Pearls? I have only one Pin Down ball and it's a Solid Symm.

I generally like all balls with "built in" length if drilled pin down.  Otherwise they get over/under on the backend for me.  The more aggressive/earlier ones, I usually drill pin up.

Surface is going to have the bigger affect not "pearl" "hybrid" or "solid". Sand it like any solid ball in your arsenal on the same layout and see how it matches up.

I like drilling oearls pin down for house shots. Gives you some added length but doesn't go crazy downlane.

All of my perls have been pin down for several years now.

Usually, I'll drill stronger pearls pin up due to wanting these to clear the front and have more backend with a higher rev rate.  But, with pearls for drier patterns or house shots, I'll always go pin down to keep the overall reaction smoother.  Keep in mind that drilling is only 1 part of the deal though.  Surface is the other.

Drilling a pearl pin down would provide a more smoother arching motion instead of a snapping motion normally or am I over simplifying it? Pearls usually have more of a natural length to them so I would assume drilling them pin down would make them a little more controlled and earlier.

I had a pin down tropical storm that I loved. It read a lot earlier with my rev rate and consistently stronger than my hy-road and frantic. Would you recommenddrilling a hy-road pearl pin down with a p4 weight hole? I don't like the  way it rolls pin up. It is to inconsistent for my liking. Anyone ever had a ball like the Hy-Road Pearl with a strong early-rolling layout with a flare increasing weight hole?
