A layout that you hated no matter what?
« on: January 05, 2005, 09:09:52 AM »
I was thinking the other day about a pin placement that I hated in my old Quantum Axiom Tour.  Then I remembered that I also drilled a Sensor (forget which one) and a Track Heat with that same drilling.  All the balls were drilled with the pin just above the fingers on the grip line.  I love the pin under the fingers on the grip line but I HATE the pin above the fingers!

Have any of you had a similar experience?

I don't seem to do well with symmetric balls when the cg is kicked out. I do best with either label or stacked drillings. I have had success with placing a strong mass bias on the val.

I don't do well with Pin over fingers on any ball. With my low rev rate, the ball won't get to reving soon enough in mid lane.

Interesting...the other thing about this is that I have a Scout/R with the pin over the middle finger and a Silver Streak with the pin over the ring finger and I love them both.  That damn pin on the grip line over the fingers always seemed way too over under for me...it has to be in my head.

I hate most stacked stuff. Pin next to ring finger and cg under that. Just to skid snap for me.
