I understand that the closer a pin is to your pap the sooner it will hook, but will a pin closer to your axis hook less or cover less amount of boards? It seems that the pros use longer pin to pap distances on heavier oil.

Any deviation from leverage-3.375" with diminish flare and alter shape...closer to pap earlier & smoother and closer to the track later & sharper
