How much pitch do you use...

on fingerholes when drilling for grips to make sure the fingholes don't meet at the bottom?

Yep. you can use less lateral if you drill the holes shallow. I used to use 1/4 left, 1/4 right, and with shallower holes, never hit at the bottom.

Around here (STL) we use 1/2 Left Lateral and 1/2 Right Lateral.

I use longfinger 1/4 left and ringfinger 3/8 right...

Ball manufacturers recommend 3/4" difference between pitches with a 1/4" bridge. You can use the 3/8 x 3/8, 1/4 x 1/2, 1/8 x 5/8, 0 x 3/4, etc... Just my $.02, Bruce
