Title: Pin Under Bridge?
Post by: kingpin268 on March 08, 2005, 08:07:08 AM
I've seen that the pin below the bridge right in between the finger holes is a common drilling. What reaction do you get with that? That, along with the pin above the bridge right in between the finger holes. What reaction do you get out of these layouts?

As you can see, I am not technical in this part of the game, so I'm trying to expand my knowledge of the subject. Thanks..

The reaction depends on so many other factors. The only thing that can tell you for sure is that the Pin above will get more length and  the Pin below will begin it's roll earlier. If your PAP is 'average', you'll be about 4 1/2 - 5" (PAP to Pin). Check out Track's drill pattern sheets on their web site or some of the other major companies (or Morich, Lanemasters etc) and you can see what the Pin/PAP combinations might do for you. (I use the above 3 companies, mostly).
