Pin Under vs Pin Beside Ring Finger
« on: October 13, 2005, 01:59:04 AM »
Can someone state the natural reaction character of a ball drilled pin under ring finger with cg kick out  vs  pin beside ring finger with cg kicked out.  Thanks in advance.

I'd say not much. Pin under ring should give you an early, controllable reaction, while the pin outside of the ring finger should provide a bit more length but a stronger reaction since the pin is closer to your PAP.
When the MB is directly below the pin, you should get a strong recation, too. When it is located more towards the PAP, the overall recation is tamed down a bit with a softer backend.

Pin under ring should be doing well on more oil than pin next to ring. I'd also suggest to kick out the CG more towards PAP when drilling for more oil. Pin beside ring and the CG below will be better suited for a trong reaction on medium conditions, snappier.

Hope this helps?
