PIN UP VS PIN DOWN
« on: January 08, 2008, 05:33:45 PM »
IS THERE ANY WEB PAGE OR SITE TO HELP EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO GIVEN THE SAME OTHER FACTORS?

There is ballreviews faq here. But very simple. With the pin above the fingers you raise the Rg on the ball. And with the pin below the fingers, you lower it. Hooking later VS hooking early.

You could also read this. The angle to the VAL is the same as pin height in relation to grip center. The lower the second angle equals higher up from grip center. I like to think of it as the closer the pin is to grip center, the smoother it is off the spot.

Drilling angle is equivalent to the Mass Bias location or distance to your PAP...the larger the angle the further away it is.
