I know, I know, you can't suggest something without seeing me bowl, I understand.  BUT, i'm just looking for some guidance.  I'm a tweener, medium revs and medium-high ball speed.  I can roll it up the back or put side roll, that's not an issue if you're wondering.

I just received my Ultimate inferno.  It has a 3-4" pin.  This will be my ball for carrydown and heavier oils, to be above my Bruiser.  (I only have a 4 ball arsenal:  Spare, Power groove, Bruiser and UI).  SO, here is how the ball is drilled now (how i got it).

Here are 2 options I was thinking....Option 1 is kind of a label drill.  I thought this would be controllable.

And here is option 2, what I was leaning towards.

So what do you all think would be better?  Again, I'm not lookin for you to "hold my hand" and lead me through, but I need to get some kind of idea as to what I want, so I know what to tell the driller when I go to have it redrilled.

I'd talk to your driller about the layouts and the condition(s)you plan to use it on and see what he says.
 Having said that, I have to gather that he knows your game as well.
 As I remember ,having the CG in your palm and pin above the ring finger will produce some length with a turn on the backends,whereas having the CG farther out from your palm will cause more flare.
 Since you want it to clear the heads and turn,I'd suggest # 2.

Wow, that was quick!  Thanks guys!

Bob, my pics were just general, it's hard to do measurements with Paint.

I like your idea about kind of having something inbetween the two though.  Makes sense.

I'll keep that in mind, and also take ND's advice and discuss this with my driller.

I didn't need a ton of replies, but just somethign to get me in the right direction.

Well, I'm not really sure I'd want the pin in the ring finger.......I wouldn't ever be able to sell it.  Though I don't plan to anyways, but I'd like to be able to see the pin.

Well, when I go to the shop, I'll let you guys know what I do, and how it reacts.  i'm expecting big things, after all the hype (and 75 reviews).

Can you throw the ball as it is right now?  Even if it doesn't fit your hand very well, it might give you an indication of how much or where it hooks.  It should give you some feedback on how strong you might want to redrill it.
