My ball driller said that offset thumb drilling put the ball more on the hand. However he's not in favor of it as he claimed that it may reduce the revs.

1) Is that true?
2) Does it somehow affect the rotation of the ball? (I mean the axis rotation)

If someone changes to offset thumb drilling is there any guides on the Thumb pitch? I'm assuming that the pitch will be more to the left with some reverse in it.

Drilling a ball this way does change pitches of conventional T grip measurements & grips are rotated to match the new center line.

After laying out a ball this way, you can measure & gauge pitches off the original T grip center line & duplicate drilling the regular way & just turn grips accordingly.

MHO there is no such thing as a true offset thumb.

I understand what you say, but think of this, what happens when you don't use finger inserts?

There is no ability to just turn the insert presenting an issue.

This is one instance where I completely agree with chris-m on his comments.

BTW, my driller does use the "offset" thumb.
