got an older gent at the end of his rope.  slower speeed track player.  very accurate with slower spped and lowwer revs.  

here's the problem:  the strong stuff hooks too early, even polished, drilled moderately weak.  got him a dry r groove but now it is squirrely as one skids the other ball hooks early.  he is accurate but man is that dry r funky.  no hit or carry at all.

what's left for me to try with him??  would a pin axis give him the smooth arcing track shot he so desires.  I have a silver streak solid polished up that I could have plugged for him and have it drilled axis.  where do I put the pin and cg.  It is a 3 inch pin, moderate top wt.  His axis is right at 5 inches over and 1/2 up.  

please make any suggestions on drillings or ball types that would help him.

 If he is really slow, I would try and find something with a low diff.

exactly my thoughs too Jabs...  I think urethane would give the look he's desiring...  smooth arcing, no over/ender...and still have power to hit and carry.  One of our best local house bowlers throws a blue hammer exclusively...  his reasoning is that if he can average 230 with a 15 yr old urethane ball, why buy something else?

I think with the dry/R you might can hit the 2 figure 8 places on the ball with scotch brite and then maybe hit the very bottom couple rings on his flareif he has very much flare so the ball will still get through the heads good....Wouldnt hurt to try anyway, works very well with my stuff...
