Ball and Drilling Recommendation
« on: May 03, 2009, 07:45:24 AM »
For someone just learning to throw a hook.  She'll be throwing a 10-pound ball, with just a handful of revs and soft speed.

Suggestions for a ball that will go reasonably long and give her maximum carry percentage on a light to medium THS?

Thanks!

Any entry level reactive.  Tropical storm, power groove both should run you about 100 out the door maybe 120.

That's what I was leaning toward.  A drilling recommendation?

Hard to say without seeing her throw. Basic statement I make , after several questions...pin not to high ( depending on the oil/ball) and right of ring.

KEEP IN MIND...only someone who has seen her throw, knows her style, is there watching her or measures her PAP should really be making that suggestion. Best I could offer is go talk to your pro shop guy.

pin above bridge.....at 10 I assume slow speed ....need to create length. The cover will get the ball to hook....dont want it to roll out....thats what will possibly happen if drilled too strong.

Thanks. Rolling out was my main concern as well.
