I have the new Roto Grip Hypercell and the ball is a dud. Tried multiple surface changes and still nothing. Think it may be layer out wrong. Ball won't go into a roll. My question is I have 30 degrees of tilt and the ball has a p4 weight hole. Will making it deeper or bigger help get into a roll

Depend on the existing amt of flare and width of rings

Thanks but how do I go about that. I need help with this issue please very frustrating. Ball hits dead unless lanes are stone dry. Tried all surfaces it's at 360 now with light 1000

I was wondering how long it would take before someone posted about having this problem.

I have a Disturbed that is a dud as well. Last Roto Grip I buy!!

Good to know I'm not the only one lol

Hook, line, sinker. You guys buy these ridiculously strong balls and complain they don't hook.
Anyway, watch your proshop guy or gal watch you throw it and see what the issue is. I got a bad batch virtual gravity years ago that flared an inch.

Yes the ball isn't getting into a roll that's why we changed surface numerous times. Was wondering if making weight hole bigger or deeper into core would help with roll

Can you take a picture?

My Hyper cell was flaring 6+ inches the few frames I threw it but burned up easily. I threw in fresh and it wasn't enough oil. The disturbed is also super strong and I needed a surface change to throw it in ths. I bought an asylum and it was money tonight. The hyper cell on ths is just a bad idea unless it's flooded.

take surface to 1000 and then polish, see if that changes anything
sounds way to strong as mentioned above
its just burning up right away and has nothing left downlane
-
i know with my own experiences that you can't throw that stuff on THS. It will hook at your toes then do nothing the rest of the lane. Like someone else said, i would actually hit with 1,000 then polish the piss out of it to get it down lane.

I would go back to whoever drilled it and give them a chance to help you.
Your asking people who might be more qualified then your ball driller to offer suggestions without seeing you roll the ball.
Can you change your hand position? Ball speed? Play deeper?
Sounds like you've changed surfaces, so that's a start.
Good luck with it, I'm sure you'll find a surface you'll be able to use it on.

And with that surface the ball is hooking in your back swing. Especially with a P4. Try it at 2000 and polish. You aren't going to get a huge amount of board coverage with that surface and a P4. The ball hooks so early that even with benchmark layouts, the ball is too strong for THS. You can't say the ball is a dud when you are using it as it's intended. With 30* of tilt, it sounds like you would need a pin down layout and a moderate hole (P2, P2.5) At best then adjust the surface if you need more.
If you try it at 2K and polish and you still don't like it, plug the hole and try it at a P2. I have to agree with Northface. Too many guys want these balls that hook at their ankles, then complain that they don't hook, when they obviously don't understand ball motion or the amount of oil they bowl on.

The Major reason I reply to this post is I've drilled 5 Hyper Cells already, all with weaker layouts for high rev bowlers, and all of them hook just before the arrows And cover a nice amount of boards... so there is no way that the ball doesn't hook and is a dud. That's FALSE! Someone either didn't know what they were doing when they drilled it... or didn't care to measure out your stats and drill the ball properly for your stats.
The ball is just puking on the lanes, Early rolling strong ball+P4+360/1000= hooks at your ankles.
