If the ball is a symetrical ball with no mass bias built into it, then there will be no difference unless the distance from the pin to the virticle axis line is different, or a weight hole is used.
If cg doesn't matter then a symetric ball with a long pin out doesn't have enough mass bias to effect ball motion, or does it? I don't remember Brunswick trying two different balls with simillar static weights, but with different pin to cg distances. Fire up the throwbot, lets see it.
